Mindfulness for Leaders

ML_dualismTree
Individuals who lead need to cultivate their thoughts and minds for optimal performance.

They need resilience in a fast-changing and frenetic-paced world. To achieve this, they are always driven to be the best versions of themselves.

The reality is that complexity and stress force us into the instinctive fight/flight/freeze reactions. Mindfulness can train the mind to respond thoughtfully, rather than react instinctively. It teaches us how to lead (or follow) authentically in a world of complexity.

Mindfulness cultivate awareness on multiple levels:

  • Self-awareness (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual)
  • Interpersonal awareness
  • Team awareness
  • Community and Environmental awareness
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change.– R. D. Laing
